The Rotary Foundation is Rotary’s own charitable fund and is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes throughout the world. The purpose of The Rotary Foundation can be found in it’s motto: “Doing good in the world”.
Rotary is working to improve the lives of children, by providing access to health care, education, adequate food, shelter and clean water. Rotarians are saving and changing the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
Foundation Income and Expenses
Donations to the Annual Fund of the Foundation are invested for three years and the income earned pays for the Foundation’s operating and administrative expenses. At the end of three years 100% of every dollar given to the Annual Fund is available for Foundation programs. Between the years 1947 and 2012 over US$1.5 billion was spent on the Foundation’s programs.
