Max was inducted into The Rotary Club of Heidelberg 1st December 1968 and he served the Club in many capacities for nearly 50 years.
He was Club President and Secretary and played a most vital role in introducing distinguished guest speakers from a wide range of disciplines. He served on the Board of the Austin Hospital for many years.
Max received his Order of Australia, for services to Local Government, Architecture and Rotary, and has loved his involvement in the community all his life. His basic tenet was to “Serve the Community and the Community will serve you”.
Max will be sadly missed by all members of the Club, past and present.
